In-Home Denture Visits in Kingston, Ontario

For patients who find travel difficult — because of mobility, health or caregiving circumstances — Nova Denture Clinic offers in-home denture visits in Kingston and surrounding communities, bringing essential denture care to you.

What is it?

An in-home visit brings the denturist to your home, retirement residence or care facility for assessment and many routine denture services. Portable equipment allows impressions, adjustments, repairs and relines to be started — and often completed — outside the clinic.

Some steps still require clinic or laboratory equipment. When that is the case, we explain what can be done at home, what needs a clinic visit, and how we minimize the number of trips.

Who may benefit?

An in-home visit may be worth discussing if you or your family member:

  • Finds travel to the clinic physically difficult or stressful
  • Lives in a retirement residence or long-term care setting
  • Is recovering from illness or surgery and cannot easily attend appointments
  • Is a caregiver arranging denture care for someone at home

This page cannot diagnose your situation — a consultation is the right place to find out what suits you.

Potential benefits

  • Essential denture care without the burden of travel
  • Familiar surroundings — helpful for patients who find clinic visits stressful
  • Caregivers can be present and involved in the discussion
  • Many routine services can be started or completed on site

Realistic limitations

  • Some procedures require clinic or laboratory equipment and cannot be done at home
  • Availability depends on scheduling and location — call to discuss your situation
  • Complex treatments may still need one or more clinic visits

The treatment process

  1. 01

    Call to discuss

Phone 613-777-7747 and describe the situation. We confirm what can be done at home and arrange a visit time.

  2. 02

    In-home assessment

We examine the denture and oral tissues, discuss concerns and plan the work.

  3. 03

    Treatment

Where possible, impressions, adjustments or repairs are completed on site; laboratory steps are finished between visits.

  4. 04

    Follow-up

We return for delivery and adjustments as needed, and remain available by phone.

Adaptation, maintenance and follow-up

Between visits, follow the same daily cleaning routine described in our denture care guide. Caregivers are welcome to call us with questions — small problems are much easier to solve early.

Cost and coverage

In-home visit fees depend on the service and location. We explain all fees when the visit is arranged. Coverage questions — including CDCP where applicable — are confirmed before treatment begins.
