Nova offers in-home denture visits in Kingston and surrounding communities for patients who find travel difficult. Using portable equipment, we can complete assessments, impressions, many adjustments and some repairs and relines at your home, retirement residence or care facility — and we explain clearly what still requires a clinic visit.

Who in-home visits are for

In-home visits suit patients for whom travel is physically difficult or stressful — because of mobility, health, recovery from illness or surgery, or caregiving circumstances. They also extend to retirement residences and long-term care settings, subject to scheduling and the facility’s visiting arrangements.

Caregivers and family members are welcome to be present and involved, which is often helpful for planning and decision-making.

What can and cannot be done at home

Assessments, impressions, many adjustments and some repairs and relines can be started or completed on site with portable equipment. Steps that require clinic or laboratory equipment are finished between visits, and we minimise the number of trips needed.

Complex treatments may still need one or more clinic visits. When you call, we will be specific about what can be done at home for your situation rather than making promises.

Arranging a visit

Phone 613-777-7747 and describe the situation. We confirm what can be done at home, explain the fees, and arrange a visit time. Caregivers and family members are welcome to make the arrangements and to be present during the visit.

Between visits, follow the same daily cleaning routine described in our denture care guide, and call us early with any small problem — they are much easier to solve before they grow.
